Description

The building at 100 Church Street, known as the Post Office, dates from the 18th century. It is rendered with a pantile roof and has two storeys plus attics, featuring one gabled 19th-century dormer. The building has an eaves cornice and two windows that are double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The 19th-century shop front includes a fascia and two windows, though it has modern glazing. To the left, there is one modern door. The side elevation has blocked mullions. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 84 to 90 (even), the former White Horse Inn, the Black Horse Public House, Nos 93 to 100 (consecutive), Nos 105 to 112A (consecutive), and Nos 114 to 117 (consecutive).
