Description

The premises of Ledgard and Wynn is a former theatre located in Kendall's Yard. This small building, constructed from stone rubble, is said to have hosted performances by Edmund Keen in 1807. It has two storeys, with the ground floor having been altered; the windows have been reduced in size and the doorway has been blocked. On the upper floor, there are four windows, which were originally five, each featuring 12 panes. A stone external staircase on the gable end leads to an upper boarded door, complete with an iron handrail and balusters.
