Description
No. 8 Market Street is a building from the 18th century or earlier, likely constructed in a similar style to the nearby Sun Inn. It has two storeys and is finished with plaster. The roof is made of slate and features one chimney with slate water tables. The windows have sills and plain reveals, and are sashed with vertical glazing bars. The early 19th-century double shopfront has fluted pilaster strips and a cornice, and is slightly bowed with plate glass. There is a nine-panel door, and to the right, there is a door and window with plain stone surrounds. Inside, the building has exposed beams and a cupboard with raised and fielded panels.
