Description
Bridge House, located opposite Ford Bridge, is a house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed, squared rubble and features rusticated quoins. The roof is made of graduated stone flags and has stone chimneys at both ends. The building is symmetrical, with two storeys and three bays. The central entrance has a glazed door set in a stone surround, which includes moulded impost blocks and a projecting keystone above a semicircular head. There is a single sash window on either side of the door on both floors, with a narrower sash window located above the door. All windows are fitted with glazing bars and are set within stone surrounds. The buildings adjoining either end of Bridge House are not included in this listing.
