Description

This is a row of cottages dating to the late 18th century, located on Chapel Street in Appleby-in-Westmorland. The cottages are constructed of roughcast over stone rubble, with a slate roof and brick chimneys. A segmental arched carriage entry is situated between numbers 24 and 25, providing access. Each cottage has boarded doors surmounted by small fanlights. They each have one sash window on each floor. The group value of these cottages lies in their contribution to the streetscape.
