Description

The Fox is a house, barn, and adjoining cottage (now a garage) built in the late 18th century to early 19th century, with some alterations. The structure is made of rendered rubble and features rusticated quoins on the house. Both the house and barn have graduated stone-flagged roofs, while the former cottage has a graduated slate roof. The building is two storeys high. The front of the house is symmetrical with three bays, featuring a central plank door flanked by sash windows on each floor, all set within stone surrounds. The lower barn is set back to the right of the house and includes a 20th-century garage door and a plank door with loft access above. The former cottage, also set back to the right of the barn, has a 20th-century garage door and a plank door with two small fixed windows above, one of which is blocked. There is a lean-to attached to the east end.
