Description

Christchurch is a church built in 1850 by Travis and Magnell. It is constructed of coursed red sandstone rubble and features slate roofs. The building includes a nave, chancel, north and south aisles, a south porch, and a spirelet belfry at the west end. Designed in the early perpendicular style, it has a prominent large east window. The nave consists of four bays supported by octagonal arcade piers. Inside, there is a braced collar roof with alternate pairs of hammerbeams, and the fittings are in a Gothic style to match the architecture.
