Description
Moss Side House and the adjoining barn are a farmhouse and barn dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building features painted stucco with painted V-jointed quoins on a chamfered plinth, topped by a graduated greenslate roof with stone chimney stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three bays, with a lower barn to the left that is positioned at right angles. The entrance includes a top-glazed six-panel door set in a painted stone architrave, which is topped by a console-bracketed pedimented cornice. The windows are sash type, framed in painted stone surrounds. The barn has a blank stucco wall at the front, while the rear wall is made of brick and includes a large projecting cart entrance. There is a further extension to the right that is not of interest.
