Description
The Old Rectory is a building that has been converted from a rectory to a house. It dates from the mid-18th century, with a late 18th-century extension. The structure features English garden wall bond brickwork set on a chamfered stone plinth, with V-jointed painted quoins. The roof is made of graduated greenslate and has a coped gable with a kneeler on the right side, along with brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a two-bay extension to the left under a common roof. The entrance includes a six-panel door within a painted stone surround. The windows are two-pane sash types, also in painted stone surrounds, with a small fire window located on the upper floor at the extreme right. The extension features two-pane sash windows that sit under flat brick arches and have painted stone sills.
