Description
The Cottage is a house dated 1662, as indicated by the inscription over a window, with 19th century alterations and additions. It features painted roughcast walls and a graduated greenslate roof, topped with a painted rendered chimney stack. The building is two storeys high and consists of two bays, with a taller single-bay extension on the right. The entrance includes a six-panel door set in a painted stone surround, topped by a 20th century segmental wooden hood. The windows are 20th century diamond-paned casements within 19th century painted stone surrounds, which have hoodmoulds above them. At the rear, there are larger 20th century casement windows also in 19th century painted stone surrounds.
