Description

Nos 17 and 18 on Foxhouses Road are a pair of Victorian semi-detached villas built in 1814. The buildings are finished in stucco and feature a high basement with two upper storeys. A double flight of steps with iron railings leads up to two doors located in the center, which are sheltered by a common porch supported by three Composite columns. The porch is adorned with an enriched frieze, cornice, and pediment. Above each doorway, there is a sash window. The villas also have flanking three-storeyed bay windows, which include panels between the floors, Tuscan angles, and cornice-sills, along with end pilasters. These properties are part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 20A (consecutive) and Nos 22 and 23.
