Description

70 George Street is an early 19th-century building constructed in 1814. It features a stuccoed exterior and a hipped slate roof, with a cornice supported by brackets. The building has two storeys. The central entrance consists of a panelled door and a fanlight, set within a moulded doorcase that has a cornice on curved brackets. Above the door, there is a 24-paned non-opening window with a moulded sill. The facade facing Scotch Street includes two storeys and a basement, which has a small basement door and one altered window on each floor. This building is part of a group with Nos 84 to 95 on Scotch Street.
