Description
No. 73 on Main Street in Maryport is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It features a cement-rendered exterior with an asbestos pantile roof and a moulded eaves cornice, along with stacks at the gable ends. The building has moulded stone dressings around the door and three windows. The ground floor includes a modern door and two long modern windows, while rusticated quoins add to its character. At the rear, there are modern windows. Attached to the building is a barn, believed to date back to 1721, which has a slate roof and is constructed from whitewashed rubble. This barn features two narrow ventilation slits above a segmental-headed carriage entry. To the right, there is a modern penticed extension.
