Description
The detached chimney at Jane Pit, built in 1843 for the Curwen family, is a notable structure made of hammer-dressed calciferous sandstone. It features a round chimney set on a square base, supported by round brick arches. The chimney has a battlemented parapet below its neck, designed to match the nearby engine-house chimney. This chimney is historically significant and has group value with the engine house.
