Description

Welsh House, located in Newland, is a building that was rebuilt in 1595. It features a stucco facing with stone dressings and stands two storeys high beneath a steeply pitched roof. The house has five stone mullioned casement windows. On the right side of the first floor, there is a plaque that displays the date, three heraldic shields, an abbreviated motto in Welsh, and the initials WEP. This house may have belonged to John Parker, a sergeant at law.
