Description

7 New Street is a building dated 1600 that was originally a Grammar School and later became the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of Charity and Saint Augustine. It is now used as offices. The structure is made of ashlar dressed coursed rubble and features a tiled roof with a stone coped front gable. It has two storeys, with distinct floor and eaves bands. The first floor showcases large pointed arched windows that are three-light with stone mullions. The side elevation includes four-light windows with small chamfered arches.
