Description

This chest tomb, dated 1845, is located approximately 2 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St. Denys. It was created by Samuel Cundy and is made of limestone ashlar. The tomb features a coped design with low flat-topped arches that include armorial shields. There is an inscription dedicated to the first Lord Bateman, and it is surrounded by railings. This tomb is included for its group value with the Church of St. Denys.
