Description
North Lodge and the attached gate piers to Kelmarsh Hall are likely from the late 18th century. The building is constructed from lias ashlar and stucco, topped with a slate roof, and has a T-shaped plan. It is a single-storey structure featuring a sash window with glazing bars set in an arched recess on the gable end. The gable has ashlar parapets, and there are rendered stacks at the ridge. To the left, there is a porch with a doorcase that has moulded and eared architraves, along with a pulvinated frieze and cornice above. The lodge is flanked by two pairs of rusticated ashlar gate piers, which are connected by low walls and feature 20th-century wrought iron gates.
