Description

Dodmoor Farmhouse, along with its attached stables and barn, is a Grade II listed farmhouse built in the 18th century, specifically dated 1751. The structure is made of coursed ironstone rubble and features a plain tile roof, with a stone stack on the right and a brick stack on the left. It has a two-unit central staircase plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a three-window range.

The central entrance consists of a six-panel door set within a gabled timber porch, with a two-light casement window above it, flanked by three-light casements on both the ground and first floors. All windows have timber lintels. The gables are stone-coped with kneelers and small dormer windows. To the left, there is a lower two-storey wing that has a stone inscription by the back door reading "JD1751." This door features a round-arched hood supported by brackets and is accompanied by three-light casement windows.

Inside, the farmhouse includes boxed spine beams, stone flagged floors, and an open fireplace with a bressumer. The wing continues as stables, leading to an attached barn with a slate roof, both of which face the farmyard in front. The barn dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and has central opposing doorways.
