Description
The gates and gatepiers, located approximately 5 meters north of the north porch of the Church of St Mary the Virgin, were built in the early 20th century by Sir Ninian Comper. The gatepiers are made of square ironstone ashlar and are connected by cast and wrought-iron gates featuring an arched overthrow. The gates include turned railing posts topped with spikes and decorated with scrollwork, with the overthrow displaying a similar design.
