Description
This is a house located on the east side of the A6003 in Rockingham, originally shown as 8a on the Ordnance Survey map. The building dates from the early to late 18th century and is constructed from squared coursed ironstone and limestone, topped with a Collyweston slate roof. It was originally designed with a two-unit plan and features two storeys. The front has a three-window range with 19th and 20th-century casements set beneath wooden lintels. There is a central 20th-century door also under a wooden lintel. The house has ashlar gable parapets and brick stacks at both ends. It is likely that the first floor was raised in the late 18th century. The interior has not been inspected.
