Description
Manor House is a 17th century building that was refronted in the 18th century and may incorporate an earlier structure known as Abbot's house, which belonged to Peterborough monastery. The house is constructed of ironstone squared rubble and ashlar, featuring a stone slated and concrete tiled gabled roof with stone copings and a front parapet. It has two storeys and attics, with a gabled dormer. The building is in an L shape and has four sash windows with glazing bars on the front elevation, which is ashlar faced with flat arches. The back wing includes a six-light stone mullioned casement window on the ground floor, which is situated under a dripmould. There is a carved shield located below the centre of the parapet. Additionally, there is a 19th century two-storey wing on the left that has one casement window.
