Description
Latch Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, which was restored in the 20th century. It is built of squared coursed limestone and features a thatched roof. The original layout was a three-unit plan. The cottage is single-storey with an attic and has a four-window range of 19th-century style casements beneath wooden lintels, along with two double eyebrow dormers in the attic. There is a central 20th-century door also under a wooden lintel. Ashlar stacks are located at both ends of the building. To the right, there is a single-storey brick extension from the 19th century. Although the interior has not been inspected, it likely contains ceiling beams and remnants of an open fireplace. The cottage is included for its group value.
