Description

Elm Bank is a building constructed around 1894 by J A Gotch. It is made of red sand bricks with Weldon stone dressings and features gabled roofs covered in Broseley tiles. The building has two storeys and attics, with a band at the first floor sill level. It includes a two-storey pair of polygonal end bays on the garden front, which are topped with parapets and roof gables that have stone copings. The windows are stone mullioned and transomed casement types, set under lintels with cornice mouldings. There is a projecting wing on the left side and a lower service wing, which also has two storeys and features sash windows under cambered arches. A porch is located at the entrance front. For further details, refer to The British Architect, published on August 24, 1894.
