Description
The stables and coachhouse, located approximately 75 metres southeast of Great Oakley Hall, likely date from the mid-18th century. They are constructed from squared coursed limestone and feature a restored Collyweston slate roof. Originally designed to accommodate two or three stables and a coachhouse, the building is single-storey with a hayloft above. It has four stable doors and two central carriage doors, all set under wooden lintels. At the ridge, there is a central octagonal wooden cupola with weatherboarded sides. The right gable displays stepped parapets and a hayloft door with a trefoil head, complemented by a quatrefoil above it. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value with the nearby hall.
