Description
Old Dimmings is a 17th-century building that has been restored and embellished in the 20th century. It features a timber-framed structure with red brick nogging and an old tile roof, which has a chimney at either end and one on the ridge. The building has two storey barge-boarded gables that flank a one storey and attic central section.
The central section includes two barge-boarded dormers with gothic glazing. On the ground floor, there is a three-light casement window with leaded lights and a recessed porch that has two restored Tudor arches supported by a central brick pier. The right-hand gable has a modern casement window on the first floor and a three-light casement with leaded lights on the ground floor. The left-hand gable also features a modern casement on the first floor and a three-light casement with gothic glazing on the ground floor. Additionally, there is a modern addition on the left side that has been built to match the original style, with timber framing and brick nogging.
