Description
Oak Tree House is a house built in the early to mid-19th century, with an earlier rear section that may date back to the 17th century. The building is constructed of white painted brick and features tiled roofs. The 19th-century part has a shallower pitch and flanking chimneys, while the rear section has a steeper pitch, a tall central brick chimney, and another chimney projecting from the south gable.
The house is two storeys high. The front elevation has three bays of sash windows, each divided into three panes, with splayed gauged brick flat arches above them. There is a central open gabled porch that has cogged brick eaves, a semicircular arch, an impost band, and a plinth. The entrance features a half-glazed door with reeded flush panels below and a semicircular fanlight above. The rear elevation includes four bays of three-light wood casements, with the left-hand bay located in a wing that has a slightly lower roof level.
