Description
The Old School House Cottage is a cottage that was formerly a village school, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed of witchert, which is rendered and painted, sitting on a rubble stone base. The cottage features a thatched roof, which is hipped at the northern end over a later extension, and has two brick chimneys. There is a roof dormer on the west side. The building is one storey with an attic and has two three-light casements, with a modern window on the right-hand side. The rear elevation includes a modern porch and two three-light casements, with the right-hand one featuring leaded glazing. The south gable has a two-light wood casement on the ground floor and a three-light leaded casement on the first floor.
