Description

Sawmill House is a late 18th-century building constructed of flint rubble with red brick dressings. It stands two storeys high with a basement and features three bays on both the north and south fronts. The building has a red brick cornice and a hipped roof covered with old tiles. The west front includes two arched panels and angle piers, while flanking the main structure are three-storey pavilions made of flint rubble with red brick quoins, a double stringcourse, and semi-circular windows on the first floor. These pavilions are connected to the main block by arcaded walls, showcasing an unusual and ambitious design.
