Description

The gatehouse to the Manor, dating from the 15th century, is a two-storey structure built of coursed rubble stone, featuring dressed quoins and copings. It has an old tile roof that is gabled towards the road and topped with a carved finial. On the upper level, there is a stone mullioned two-light casement window with leaded glazing. The courtyard entry below has a timber lintel and is flanked by stone buttresses. On the courtyard side, there is an elliptical arch, with a two-light stone mullioned window above it, set under a semi-circular stone relieving arch.
