Description

An 18th-century barn, now converted into a house, originally part of the farmyard of Bag Hill Farm. The barn is constructed of wichter on a rubble plinth and has a pantile roof. It comprises three bays with a stable range attached to the east. The gable end facing Station Road has rendered infill to the timber-framed half gable. The stable range is one storey with an attic and features two lean-tos along the road, both with pantiled roofs. The long elevation facing Flint Street has a central eaves extension above the central door. It has two-light, leaded casements in the outer bays and rooflights to the outer bays. The courtyard side has a blocked central door, now replaced with six windows. A dormer is located on the left-hand side. The stable range includes two dormers and a hayloft door on the right. The easternmost bay has a corrugated iron roof, half-hipped, while the main barn roof is also half-hipped. The barn roof features curved principal trusses.
