Description

1-5 Nelson Terrace is a row of red-brick houses dating to the 18th century. They have old tiled roofs, cornices, and basements with cellars. Each house has two storeys. The ground floor windows are set within flat arches, featuring painted key blocks, while the first-floor windows have glazing bars. A round-headed arch, adorned with a stucco keyblock, originally housed a door and fanlight; a modern doorway surround now replaces this at No. 5. Nos 1-5 form a group with Nos 8 and 9.
