Description

Number 40 on Whitehall Street is a 18th-century building with a stuccoed front and an old tiled roof. It has two storeys and features two sash windows set within architrave surrounds, complete with glazing bars. The entrance consists of a five-panel door, two of which are glazed, flanked by slim pilasters, and topped with a frieze and cornice. To the left, there is a single-storey lean-to wing that includes a door and a small window. This building is part of a group that includes numbers 32 to 42 on the street.
