Description

The National Westminster Bank, located at Nos 2 and 4 Amersham High Street (with No 1 Whielden Street), features a 19th-century refronting of an earlier building. The exterior is finished with painted cement rendering and has an old tile roof concealed behind a parapet, with a curved corner design. The building stands two storeys tall, with a rusticated ground floor that includes three narrow arches with keyblocks at the curved corner. On the first floor, there is a four-pane wide double-hung sash window set within reveals, along with matching three-pane windows on each floor—two facing High Street and three facing Whielden Street.
