Description
The White Hart is a public house dating from the 17th to early 18th century, with some alterations. The building features a timber-framed ground floor with whitewashed brick infill and an upper floor. The left gable and rear wing are constructed of whitewashed rubble stone, and the roof is thatched with flanking brick chimneys. The structure is L-shaped, with 1½ storeys in the two left-hand bays and one storey in the right-hand bay where the thatch sweeps down. It has three bays in total. The ground floor includes leaded windows: a three-light casement on the left, a canted bay window in the center, and a cross window in the projecting right-hand bay. The first floor has paired and single 19th-century casements on the left and a paired leaded casement in the center. A modern ledged door is located between the left-hand bays. To the right, there is a weatherboarded extension of two bays with a thatched roof.
