Description
Terriers House is a late 17th-century building that has been altered over time. It features a stucco exterior and an old tiled roof with a modillioned cornice. The house is two storeys tall with an attic and has angle pilasters and a stringcourse at the first-floor level. The front has eight bays, with one bay slightly projecting to the right of the center. This projecting bay includes angle pilasters and a ground floor porch supported by Doric pillars, topped with an entablature and blocking course. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and those on the first floor are set in panels. There are five casement box dormers beneath dentil cornice heads. A recessed extension on the right side of the house is of a later date. Terriers House is part of a group with Terriers Lodge, located at Terriers Green.
