Description
This is an 18th-century two-storey and attic building on West Street. It is constructed of vitreous brick with red dressings, and it has been painted. A string course runs at the level of the first floor, with another red brick string above the first-floor windows. The building has a dentilled and modillioned cornice topped by a pediment containing a four-light semi-circular window in the tympanum. There are three windows on the first floor, each with recessed panels above. A modern, full-width shop front has been inserted; it is considered unsympathetic to the original fabric. The building is part of a group value with numbers 27 to 33 and 37 to 51 on the same side of West Street.
