Description
The Old Place is a 16th-century building in Dorney Lock Path, originally comprising five or six cottages and converted around 1905. It is timber-framed with brick nogging and an old tile roof. The garden elevation clearly shows these original cottage divisions. The building has four dormer windows, with the one on the right-hand end having been enlarged. Projecting gables are situated at each end of the elevation, featuring overhanging eaves. The first floor has restored four-light bay windows. The ground floor has four-light casement windows. An oak board door is positioned between the gabled ends, alongside two three-light windows with stone frames, a single three-light casement, and a bay window with a flat roof. A front terrace is present with stone balusters.
