Description

Ammonite Cottage is a small squatter cottage dating from around 1800. It is constructed of whitewashed rubble stone and features a roof made of corrugated iron over thatch, which is hipped at the front. The cottage has two storeys and consists of one bay. The front has paired barred wooden casements, with two on the ground floor and one above. The right side also has a similar casement and a paired leaded casement on the first floor. To the left, there is a single-storey extension made of whitewashed render with a slate roof, which includes a similar casement and a boarded door. Additionally, there is a garage with a corrugated iron roof to the left of the cottage.
