Description

Stoke House is a former preparatory school built in 1821 by Hartleys of Wexham. The building features a stock brick first floor and a cement rendered ground floor, topped with a hipped slate roof that has overhanging eaves. It is two storeys high, with the ends slightly projecting. The first floor has a layout of 1:3:1 sash windows, while the ground floor has 1:3:1 French windows. Across the front, there is a verandah with an arched trellis supported by thin columns. On the left side of the building, the entrance is located in a large closed porch, with a three-storey Italianate tower to the left.
