Description
This is a row of four cottages, likely built for estate workers, dating from the late 18th century. The front is rendered, with roughcast ends and a brick rear that features a wall-plate and corner posts, all of which are colourwashed. The cottages have a hipped roof covered with old tiles and four brick chimneys that were rebuilt in the 20th century, incorporating Gothick details. The buildings are two storeys high with four main bays. The windows are irregular casements with 20th-century diamond-leaded glazing, and each ground floor window has a blind pointed arch above it. There are 20th-century board doors: two are located in the center, with one door between each pair of outer bays, all four doors topped with more shallowly pointed blind arches. At the rear, there are two narrow outhouse wings with a lean-to structure in between.
