Description
The outbuildings to the south of the farmhouse at Slade Farm date from the mid-19th century and form a symmetrical group that creates a forecourt for the farmhouse. On the left, there is a building with a brick plinth, weather-boarded walls, and a tiled roof. Next to it is another structure built on settlestones, featuring brick and timber walls and a slate roof. On the right side, the first building also has a brick plinth, weather-boarded walls, and a tiled roof, along with a gabled cart entrance at the rear. Adjacent to this is a low weather-boarded building with a tiled roof that incorporates some 18th-century Gothick wooden arcading. In front of the group, there is a very low flint wall topped with timber tracery work.
