Description
The barn, located to the east of The Old Rectory, dates from the 18th century and has been converted into a day room. It features a timber frame and is weather-boarded, with modern herringbone brick infill on the west side, which faces the garden. The roof is half-hipped and thatched, resting on a rubble plinth. The garden side has modern leaded casement windows and an off-centre cart entry that has been infilled with timber and brick nogging, along with a reduced doorway. Inside, the barn consists of four bays and includes curved queen post trusses supporting a single purlin roof, as well as curved tie beams and purlin braces. A gallery has been inserted at the north end.
