Description

The tomb of G K Chesterton, who died in 1936, is located in Beaconsfield Cemetery, 25 meters north of the entrance building. It is likely designed by Eric Gill and made of Portland stone. The headstone features a coped pointed top and includes a relief carving of Christ crucified, with Mary depicted standing to the left. The lettering on the tomb is finely executed.
