Description

No. 23 London End is a building dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed of brown brick in header bond and features an old tile roof with a square central chimney on the ridge and a moulded wooden eaves cornice. The building has two storeys and an attic. The attic includes two gabled dormer windows and a timber-framed projection with a slate roof, which has two windows with fixed glazing. On the first floor, there are five sash windows; the three on the left are set flush, while the two on the right are in reveals. The ground floor has two 19th-century shop fronts and an entrance on the right leading to a side passage where the timber frame is exposed.
