Description

The War Memorial, located at the junction with Church Road in Farnham Royal, was built in 1920, with the names of those who fell in World War II added later. It is constructed from rough Cornish granite and features lead lettering on a York stone platform. The memorial includes a St. Martin's Cross on a shaft that is set on a deep square plinth. On the west face, it lists the names of 25 individuals who were killed in World War I, with the inscription "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY" beneath. The east face displays the names of 16 individuals who died in World War II.
