Description

Lake End House is a late 18th-century house situated on Burnham Lake End Road. The north elevation is two storeys plus an attic. The house is constructed of red brick with an old tile roof, hipped at one end, and features two dormers. A modillion cornice runs along the top of the facade. The ground floor has an altered, pedimented porch and three sash windows. The window range consists of five sashes in total. A one-and-a-half-storey wing extends to the east, featuring two two-light casements and a four-light dormer in the roof. On the right-hand return are an arched staircase window and a canted bay window. The rear of the property shows a 19th-century infilling of the original 18th-century L-shaped block, and to the right, a single-storeyed wing from the 17th century. The interior includes panelled wainscot and window shutters.
