Description
The Pineapple Public House is a building comprising two adjoining sections, located on Dorney Lake End Road. The right-hand part dates from the 17th century and features a timber-framed interior, with an exterior of colour-washed roughcast and an old tile roof that has a hipped right-hand end. It has a restored central gable that projects slightly on wooden brackets at the eaves level. This section is two storeys high, with the first floor displaying three 2-light casements. The ground floor includes an off-centre door, a 3-light bay window to the left, and an open tiled porch that spans the remainder of the front. There is a wooden bench running the full length of the wall under the porch, along with one sash window and one fixed window, both set flush with glazing bars.
The left-hand section is from the 18th century and is constructed of colour-washed brick with a slate roof. It is also two storeys tall, featuring two 2-light casements on the first floor. The ground floor has a modern door and one sash window, with all windows adorned with cambered brick relieving arches.
