Description
Dundridge Manor is a house that was formerly known as Dundridge Farmhouse. It has origins from the 16th and 17th centuries, with later alterations, and is encased in 18th or early 19th century red brick featuring a chequer pattern with black glazed headers. The building has old tiled roofs and brick dentil eaves, and it stands two storeys high. The modern leaded casements are complemented by ground floor windows that have single brick segmental arches.
On the east front, there is a central door flanked by a 4-light window on the left and a 2-light window on the right. The first floor has two 3-light windows. The south elevation of the east wing features a 4-light window on the left and a 3-light window on the right, along with three 3-light windows on the first floor. The east gable has one 2-light window on each floor.
Inside, the two northern bays of the main house exhibit heavy timber framing from the 16th century, with evidence of a jettied south gable and an oak mullioned window. The original floor joists and windbraces in the roof are also present. A large chimney is located in the southern room of the east wing, while the kitchen on the north side dates from the 17th century.
