Description
The wall and gate piers located to the east of the churchyard date from the 16th to 17th century. They are constructed of brick, featuring a diaper pattern with blue headers on the eastern side, and topped with brick coping. The northern end has been rebuilt with stone coping and is ramped up to square gate piers that were reconstructed in the 18th century. The gate piers have a brick plinth, minimal pilasters on the sides, and moulded stone cornices topped with ball finials. This structure is included for its group value in relation to the site of Hillesden house.
